Lee Dickson

What Lee thinks about ProteinBites

'  '

  • Lee was born in Germany to an English mother and Scottish father.
  • Which lead to a remarkable tug of war that saw him selected in both the Scotland ‘A’ and Saxons squads.
  • He also played in the England Under-21 Grand Slam-winning side of 2006.
  • A member of the 2007 Churchill Cup-winning squad.
  • Lee's joined the Saints in 2008/9 and the first couple of season's at Franklin's Gardens were certainly successful ones as he picked up winners medals in the European Challenge Cup and LV= Cup.
  • He also saw a return to England Saxons action in the 2010 Churchill Cup.
  • Lee bagged the Try of the Season against Ulster in the Heineken Cup quarter final, this was recognised as Lee picked up the Saints Supporters' Player of the Season award too.
  • Injuries over the summer denied Lee his place in both the England Saxons squad and the early parts of the Saints' 2011/12 campaign.
  • He however made an emphatic return, passing a century of Saints appearances against Saracens before receiving a first call up to the England EPS for the 2012 Six Nations.
  • Things got better and better for Lee, as he not only nailed down the starting spot for England, but returned to Franklin's Gardens to skipper the Saints for the first time in their wins over Wasps and Bath, before further international duty on a tour to South Africa.
